Jennifer Abrams started her career as a postdoctoral fellow at University of California San Francisco studying drug discovery in neurodegenerative diseases. While there, she also working part-time at a small sensory biology start-up, Afferent Pharmaceuticals, assisting with the drug screening process. In addition, Jennifer interned with the UCSF Technology Transfer Office, where she managed patentability determinations for new inventions. She then expanded her industry experience as a Senior Scientist at Merck Research Labs in South San Francisco working on drug discovery for metabolic diseases and inflammation.
Prior to joining Sonoma Biotherapeutics, Jennifer worked as a Business Development Director at Precision for Medicine, managing biomarker strategies for translational and clinical studies across therapeutic areas.
Jennifer earned her PhD. from University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston with a degree in microbiology and molecular genetics.
